A Whopper covered in mold. As a new advertising idea.
First of all EWWWW, second of all honestly this might actually be a pretty genius idea. I know what you think “HOW on earth could a moldy burger be a good idea?”, I get where you’re coming from, but hear me out.
Burger King has made a pretty unusual and bold step to market its decision to remove artificial preservatives from its iconic Whopper.
Instead of releasing photos of the burger in which it looks just flawless and perfect, they decided to use pictures of a burger covered in mold…
the beauty of real food is that it gets ugly. that’s why we are rolling out a whopper free from artificial preservatives. coming by the end of 2020 to all restaurants in the U.S. pic.twitter.com/yQL6kAYZrY

The Fast Food giant is now offering the Whopper sandwich with no preservatives, colors, or flavors from artificial sources in the U.S. The product is already available in more than 400 restaurants in the country and will reach all restaurants throughout the year. They also removed colors and flavors from artificial sources from all core menu sandwiches and sides across the United States.
As Fernando Machado, Restaurant Brands International Global Chief Marketing Officer said “at Burger King restaurants, they believe that real food tastes better!”
”That’s why we are working hard to remove preservatives, colors and flavors from artificial sources from the food we serve in all countries around the world.”
