Maddox Jolie-Pitt Said He Doesn’t See Himself As Brad Pitt’s Son

Since Angelina Jolie’s and Brad Pitt’s divorce everyone has been speculating that Maddox and Brad don’t have the best relationship.

First of all – the thing that allegedly triggered the split of “Brangelina” was Brad and Maddox getting into a fist fight on a private plane back in 2016. Back then, Brad allegedly had a drinking problem, and his and Angelina’s marriage was already hitting rock bottom. That fight was the final straw for Jolie, so she filed for divorce.

That incident is also keeping Maddox from having contact with Pitt to this day.

Last year Maddox started attending University in Seoul, South Korea. While fathers usually are the ones who help us move our things when we’re moving out for University, Brad didn’t even know Maddox applied. Well, until he saw the news being reported, like everyone else. Angelina was the one who flew with him to Seoul, and the one whom he introduced to his colleagues.

Maddox is Angelina’s oldest child. She adopted him back in 2002. After meeting and getting together with Brad, he adopted Maddox as well in 2006.

But ever since their divorce, Angelina’s and Brad’s two oldest kids (Maddox and Pax) are avoiding having contact with Brad at all cost.

Last Christmas they even refused to go and open presents at their dad’s place, while all of their siblings went. A source close to Pitt stated that the actor “was hurt” but “still understanding” as Maddox is spending less time with his family overall since starting University.

Another source also said that Maddox “is very close with Angie, but doesn’t really see himself as Brad’s son.”

While all of this must be hurting Brad, a source explained that “Brad hopes him and Maddox will be getting closer as his son grows older.”
