Well, we all know how they say that dogs are the best friends of humans, and this golden retriever is perfect example of that.
Golden retriever named Kelsey literally saved her owners life, by licking his face and hands to keep him warm.
Kelsey stayed with her owner Bob and kept him safe for over 20 hours after he slipped in the snow and broke his neck.
Man who slipped and fell outside his home on New Year’s Eve, broke his neck and was stuck in the snow for 20 hours with only his dog to keep him company and warm.
As Bob lay paralyzed Kelsey licked his face and hands and lay across his body to keep him warm.
“She kept barking for help but never left my side,” Bob said. “She kept me warm and alert. I knew I had to persevere through this and that it was my choice to stay alive.”
He had not suffered any frostbite.
“I am sure it was because of Kelsey’s determination to keep me warm and safe,” Bob said via a hospital statement.
“It was providing warmth,” told the doctor. “Had the dog been smaller, it would have likely died in the frigid temperatures. He was very fortunate to have a very big, hairy dog.”
