Donald Trump Has ‘Biggest Meltdown Of Any US President Ever’ In Coronavirus Rant
Donald Trump’s latest attack on a journalist for criticising his coronavirus policy has been dubbed the “biggest meltdown of any US leader in history”!
US president tried to brag during the daily briefing playing a campaign video showing state governors praising him for his handling of the crisis.
However, CBS reporter Paula Reid wasn’t having any of it and immediately questioned what action the president took in February before the worst of coronavirus hit.
“What did your administration do in February with the time that your travel ban bought you?” she asked.
Trump didn’t receive this question too well, and instead of answering in a calm and collected manner, he decided to straight out insult the journalist.
“You’re so disgraceful the way you say that,” he told her.
He also repeatedly refused to answer the question, instead bringing it back to his decision for a travel ban in January.
Trump also steered his answer to an attack on presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, who criticised his travel ban at the time it was announced.
But when Paula continued her questioning, the 73-year-old responded: “You know you’re a fake.
“Your whole network, the way you cover it is fake.
“And most of you, not all of you, the people are wise to you. That’s why you have the lowest approval rating than you’ve ever had before times three.
“We’ve done this right, the problem is the press doesn’t cover it the way they should.”
The astonishing attack led to scathing criticisms across the media, with CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta calling it “the biggest meltdown I have ever seen from a president of the United States in my career”.
“I don’t think a reasonable person could watch what we just saw over the last hour and conclude that the president is in control,” he added.
“He sounds like he is out of control.”
