David and Victoria Beckham Spark Speculation They’re in London After Backlash For Staying in Cotswolds
As seen on British social media posts, David and Victoria Beckham apparently returned to their home in London amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Looks like Becks and Posh are back in the capital despite the government strictly advising against non-essential travel during the pandemic.
Victoria, 45, and David, 44, have already faced some big backlash when decided to spend their self-isolation time in their £6 million mansion in the Cotswolds.
But, they faced backlash from local residents, who feared that they may have brought the deadly virus with them. So, traveling to London due to global lock-down would be even more shocking.
One woman who works at the butchers near their home in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, said: ‘The Beckhams and these other fancy folks who think it’s a good idea to self-isolate in the country are just being selfish.’
A Councillor added: ‘Showing off your beautiful country mansion on social media and telling us all what a wonderful time you’re having is just rubbing our noses in it…
‘The Beckhams and other celebrities are being stupid, irresponsible and insensitive.’
The Beckhams left their London home to stay at their countryside property before the UK was put on lockdown on March 23.
