When you try to host monologuing from your own garage when there’s no one around to laugh at your jokes, things can get awkward.
And if you’re James Corden in the sketch above, not even a Zoom call with your colleagues helps.
The newly returned Late Late Show skit revolves around Corden getting increasingly frustrated — and fully embracing his trademark, deadpan anger — when his co-workers fail to find his one-liners even remotely amusing.
The final moments, when Corden realises one of his colleagues is laughing at Borat rather than his material, is the icing on the cake.
