Borat is back and he swaps that neon green mankini for a FACE MASK referencing coronavirus pandemic!
Borat 2 is on its way!
According to several sources Amazon Studios has acquired the global rights for Sacha Baron Cohen’s follow-up to his lean, mean, 2006 meme machine, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. The comedy sequel will apparently premiere late October on Amazon Prime.
And for the poster for the upcoming Borat 2 movie, well we can only say it’s extremely risqué!
In a nod to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Sacha, donned a face covering in place of the character’s now-iconic, neon green mankini with the slogan: ‘Wear mask. Save live’.
According to a now-deleted listing at the Writers Guild of America website the sequel is titled Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan.
Deadline also claims that Cohen’s Borat sequel “was the first movie made during the COVID-19 shutdown, shot surreptitiously as quickly as coronavirus shooting restrictions were eased, and unions were in agreement on a return to shooting.”
Even though this seems pretty difficult to verify, it nonetheless ensures that everyone’s favorite Wife Guy will be doing what he does best: hypertopical political comedy skewering the American right.
