Tati Westbrook Slams Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star in New Video

Tati Westbrook has been rather silent on YouTube and social media lately regarding the scandal she is involved in with fellow YouTubers Jeffree Star, Shane Dawson and James Charles. Now, she is finally breaking her silence in a 40-minute video full of tears and revelations that points to Jeffree and Shane manipulating her into making the video that ultimately canceled James for being a “sexual predator” last year.

“There’s so much going on on YouTube and in the world,” the beauty guru starts off the video. “I have been praying every day over this event, scandal, whatever you want to name it.” For her, this video is a way to “speak as much of my truth as I am legally permitted to do.”

She starts off reading a statement that she wrote and points out that it is all written in her own words and nobody else had a hand in writing it. “I’ve lost over a year of my life terrified of social media and speaking up against the people that used, coerced and manipulated me into uploading my video in May of last year,” she said. In turn, this has damaged her “health, relationships, reputation and wellbeing.” For her, YouTube has become “toxic.” The video in May of last year that she is referring to is called “Bye Sister.” This video was posted after her good friend James promoted Sugar Bear Hair, the biggest competitor to Tati’s own vitamin brand.

One of the most shocking revelations of all is that James and Tati have since met up and spoken after she made the “Bye Sister” video. James actually insisted that he be present for this video but Tati felt it was best to do it alone. She apologized to him publicly in this video even though she apologized to him in person as well. It does seem like the pair definitely patched things up and are now both on the same side of things. Tati was a mentor for him and he even did her makeup on her wedding day. While she does think James has made his own mistakes in the past, she made it clear that she thinks he has improved as a person. Prior to the scandal last May, Tati felt like James had a sense of entitlement that was overwhelming her and it was another contributing factor to making the video.

Tati maintains that she made the video as a result of “the poisonous lies that were fed to me by Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star.” She said that this drama led her to finally reach her breaking point. Both YouTubers told Tati that several victims were going to start coming forward that had concrete evidence that they were sexually assaulted by James. For her, this was the driving force behind speaking out against him and starting most of the drama that has unfolded over the past year. In 2019, Tati said that Jeffree would talk a lot more smack about James and said that his behavior was embarrassing. An incident at her birthday party led her to label him as a “sexual predator.”

In the video, Tati also apologizes to Jackie Aina whom Jeffree had beef within the past. This led her into her concerns about Jeffree who she says has always threatened people with blackmail material. Tati predicts that Jeffree will not hold back and will release incriminating information about everyone involved in the drama. “We need to be prepared to forgive them,” she said about the people that Jeffree might expose. “I was so blind and I don’t want any part of it anymore,” she says through tears. While the apology seems genuine, there is no telling what moves Jeffree will make after all of this new information has come to light.
