Meghan Markle Made Archie’s First Birthday Cake Herself

Meghan and Harry’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor celebrated his first birthday recently, and it truly was one to remember. The cake for the young prince was homemade by his beautful mother Meghan.

To celebrate Archie’s birthday on May 6, Meghan baked a smash cake at the family’s L.A. home, while Prince Harry took point on the festive decor.

“Meghan made the cake — strawberries and cream,” a source tells PEOPLE. “And Harry helped with decorations and blew up balloons.”

The small celebration included Zoom group chats and a lot of fun and laughter, the source explained: “They Zoomed with godparents, friends and family and had a really simple but incredibly joyous day.”
The source also explained how close the young prince is with the two family dogs thes adopted back in 2018, saying Archie “is best friends with his dogs,” says the source. “They make him laugh and are gentle with him.”
