Drake’s son Adonis, makes his Instagram DEBUT as rapper shares candid snaps of toddler and ex Sophie Brussaux while pining for family and friends during coronavirus lockdown

Drake, rapper, 33, who’s kept his son out of the public and social media, posted a series of candid snaps of himself with his son and his mother, model Sophie Brussaux, as well as his parents Dennis and Sandi Graham. The hitmaker revealed he was pining for his family and friends during the coronavirus lockdown, sharing a beautiful image of him cradling curly-haired Adonis.
In caption, Drake reflected on the current world situation and revealed he was desperately missing his loved ones.
He wrote: ‘What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all. Trust that you have all of the power within to make this happen, and in order to do that connect to the people and things that bring you a lot of joy.
He continued: ‘I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on.’
Back in October 11, 2017 former adult film star Sophie gave birth to Adonis but Drake did not acknowledge the existence of his child until the release of his album Scorpion in late June 2018.
‘She’s not my lover like Billie Jean, but the kid is mine. S***, we only met two times.’
A month earlier, however, Pusha T brought the child into the public eye with his diss track The Story of Adidon.
‘You are hiding a child, let that boy come home/Deadbeat mothaf***a playin’ border patrol,’ rapped the Daytona creator before revealing the child’s name to the public for the first time.
Since his son’s existence became public knowledge, Drake has talked about wanting to be on good terms with Sophie, who he claimed to have only met twice before they conceived the child.
Speaking on LeBron James’ HBO show The Shop, he said he was initially ‘scared’ to tell his mother about the situation, because he was never in a relationship with Sophie.
He said: ‘I was more scared to tell my mom because my mom has had real belief and real relationships with women in my life, like, over the course of my years.
‘I’m sure she would expect or be elated if I were to have gotten one of those women pregnant… So it was tough for me to tell her that it’s somebody that she’s never met.’
But the rapper is ‘excited to be a great father’, and doesn’t want anyone to ‘be angry’ at Sophie.
He added: ‘I am a single father learning to communicate with a woman who… you know, we’ve had our moments, right?
‘And I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened. But I don’t have any desire for him to, like, not love his mother… I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother.
‘We have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible, and now I’m just really excited to be a great father. I have a son, he’s a beautiful boy.’
Sophie currently lives in New York City with her son, though she’s originally from France and gave birth there.
The photos came just days after he tested negative for COVID-19 following his interactions with NBA star Kevin Durant, who revealed he has the virus early last week.
