Cardi B has filed for divorce from her husband, Offset. The couple got married in a secret wedding in 2017.
People reports that Cardi B filed at an Atlanta courthouse today citing that her marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.” Cardi made her decision after knowing that Offset had cheated.
It wouldn’t be the first time Offset has been involved with cheating allegations. He cheated on her in 2018.
“It’s like everybody is coming down my neck like, ‘Why are you not leaving him? You have low self-esteem” Cardi said, adding, “It’s not right, what he fucking did—but people don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.'”
One month after cheating, in March 2018, she dropped her song “Be Careful,” which seemed to be a direct message to her husband.
According to court documents, Cardi B is reportedly seeking custody of their daughter, Kulture, who is 2 years old.
