Billie Eilish Spoke Against “All Lives Matter”

On Saturday, Billie Eilish posted on Instagram to share her feelings about the phrase “white lives matter” as protests around the country continue following George Floyd’s death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer.
“I’ve been trying to take this week to figure out how to address this delicately. I have an enormous platform, and I try really hard to be respectful and take time to think through what I say and how I say it…….but holy fucking shit I’m just gonna start talking. If I hear one more person say “aLL liVeS maTteR” one more fucking time I’m gonna lose my fucking mind,” she wrote in part, in all caps, alongside the caption “#justiceforgeorgefloyd #blacklivesmatter.”
Eilish, 18, also posted a “black lives matter” image on Instagram with the caption “I WANT THINGS TO BE DIFFERENT.”
