Golden retriever saved his owner’s life after he broke his neck and almost froze to death

Bob from Michigan is the living proof as to why dogs truly are our best friends.
His golden retriever named Kelsey heroically saved his life after Bob slipped on ice and fell, breaking his neck.
Bob explained the unfortunate situation saying: “I was screaming for help but my nearest neighbor is about a quarter mile away and it was 10:30 p.m.” Luckily, Bob was not alone, he had his best furry friend by his side. He continued: “but then my Kelsey came and saved me. By morning my voice was gone and I couldn’t yell for help, but Kelsey didn’t stop barking.”
The tragic accident happened right in front of Bob’s house. He was only in his long johns, slippers and a shirt, and was just trying to get a log for his fireplace.
Bob way laying paralyzed in the snow for the next 20 hours. Luckily, he had his loyal friend by his side to keep him warm.
Bob explained: “She kept barking for help but never left my side. She kept me warm and alert. I knew I had to persevere through this and that it was my choice to stay alive.”
Bob unfortunately losts his consciousness after 19 hours in the snow. Thankfully, Kelsey didn’t just give up on her owner!
“She was letting out this screeching howl that alerted my neighbor. He found me at 6:30 p.m..”
After his neighbor found him, Bob was immediately taken to the local hospital and has undergone emergency surgery.
Bob is now fully recovered and calls Kelsey the hero of his life.
