The Reason To Why Netflix Lowered It’s Video Quality

Netflix is lowering video quality for its subscribers in Europe, India, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and some Latin American countries. With that move Netflix is trying to reduce soaring demands on internet bandwidth.
The changes are being made to slash its data traffic by 25 per cent as internet service providers deal with absolute rrecord in user activity, as most people are staying home due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
The lower bandwidth streams of Netflix programs should still deliver the usual quality of each plan, the company said, whether it’s ultra-high definition 4K, high-definition or standard definition. Netflix is simply removing the highest bandwidth streams from the platter of options.
The changes will be maintained for at least 30 days.
