‘We are here giving away free 1980s-1990s Petal vintage toilet rolls to those that are desperately in need. No, this isn’t a joke.’ Mr. Guirgis said on Facebook.
He revealed he was overwhelmed with messages from needy people from all around Australia.

Uploading photos of the toilet paper, Michael Guirgis revealed he was overwhelmed with messages from people in need:
‘I am in a confused state at the moment, hundreds of people are messaging from this morning and last night. I don’t know how to prioritize who to give them to. Clearly, the elderly and the disadvantaged should be cared for first. I have with me a list of about ten places to go as well as to deliver some this afternoon.’ he added.
Michael’s father, who passed away ten years ago owned a store around the suburb of Marrickville. Michael reveals his dad had a storeroom filled with items from the 80s and 90s, adding that he would need to clear out more space as he really needs to.
Michael wrote on Facebook:
‘Fortunately, in the far corner, I found approximately 270 rolls. It was like winning a jackpot. I have never been more excited to see toilet rolls.’
A user commented on Michael’s post, applauding his generosity. ‘This is awesome. I am down to two rolls – one is unopened and could use an extra one. However, I will only accept if those in need are covered.’ Another added: ‘Wow, what a find!’
And indeed. What a find this is…
