Demi Lovato Admits She’s No Longer Friends With Selena Gomez

Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez go WAY BACK together. The two singers knew each other since their childhood when they acted together in Barney and have been close during their teenage years as well.

Since then their friendship had quite the downfall. After Gomez started hanging out with Taylor Swift, Demi and Selena’s friendship has been coming to an end.

From time to time we would see them being photographed together on red carpets, or comment on each other social media posts, but they were never really hanging out.

In a recent interview Demi opened up about her current situation with Gomez, and if the two are still close at all.

Demi admitted she has lost her connection with Gomez over the years and didn’t know how to feel when Selena applauded her for her Grammy performance.

“When you grow up with somebody, you’re always going to have love for them. But I’m not friends with her, so [the Instagram post] felt…” Lovato said before stopping herself mid sentence.

“I will always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best.” she added.

Selena gave Demi a shout-out after her emotional performance of new song “Anyone” at the 2020 Grammys.

“I wish there were words to describe how beautiful, inspiration, and DESERVED this moment was.” Selena wrote on her Instagram Stories next to an image of Demi receiving a standing ovation.
